This is completely random, but I have been listening to Walk The Moon's "Talking Is Hard" album on repeat. It's glorious. I highly recommend! My favorite song right now is "Up 2 U."

Challenge Day 14- Upsides and Downsides
Hello all!
Today is day 14 of my 21 day challenge of eating low fat raw vegan. I thought that since it has been two weeks, I can really tell you about some of the upsides and downsides (for me) of eating this way.
I will start with the downsides to get them out of the way! Firstly, I find that I have to go to the grocery store a lot. Now, I don't live far away from the store, but since I live around Columbus Circle in Manhattan, no matter what time I go to the store, it is absolutely packed! For someone like me who has anxiety, going to the store has never been fun for me. I try to make it fun by getting dolled up and wearing cute outfits, but ultimately I end the trip feeling very stressed.
Going along the same lines, my next downside is the amount of food that I have to purchase. I'm not talking about expense, because in terms of expenses, I am actually saving money because I never eat out anymore! I'm talking about the pure bulk of produce I buy.
I don't have a car (why would I, it's NYC!), and I only live two blocks from whole foods, but by the time I lug all of my produce back to my apartment, my entire body aches, I'm sweaty, and I still manage to blow through all my food in only a few days!
I recently bought a rolling grocery sack, so hopefully that will help!
Lastly, I am really struggling with keeping my food varied.
I have always been what is called a "serial eater." Basically, this means that I fixate on certain foods or meal combinations, and I will eat it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for months! (This also refers to eating everything on one's plate completely before moving onto the next food item. I also do this.) However, when I am eating low fat raw vegan, I have found that I get sick of things very quickly! Thankfully I'm not sick of bananas yet, but I don't even want to look at another grape for the foreseeable future!
This more than anything else has cemented, for me, that I will not be able to live this way. I think that eating this way temporarily is incredibly beneficial, but I don't think I could maintain it.
Now that I've gotten those out of the way, lets move to upsides! Although, there is really only one, and that is how eating this way makes me feel. I mentioned this in my eating disorder post; I no longer feel ill when I eat. While this is only one upside against many downsides, it is huge for me. It is for this reason that I will finish this challenge.
Sorry there are no pictures! I love a good picture post, but I just wasn't sure what would be appropriate! Kudos to whoever made it this far! I love you!

GRWM: Easter Sunday
Hello everyone! I chopped off all my hair yesterday! Here's a picture from my Intagram feed (@kathleendahlhoff).
I was feeling adventurous with my new look this morning, so I thought I would post a "Get Ready With Me" blog post!
I went out to dinner with one of my good friends, Henry, last night which meant I stayed up way too late! That meant that I didn't get out of bed until almost noon! But as soon as I did, I jumped (or rolled) out of bed and into the shower. Let me just say, having short hair made this so much faster! I used the AVEDA Blue Malva Shampoo and the Tresemmé Perfectly (Un)Done Conditioner. I also used my usual body wash, St. Ives Oatmeal and Shea Butter Body Wash.
When I got out of the shower, I spritzed the ends with the Macadamia Healing Oil, then all over with the Tresemmé Thermal Creations Heat Tamer Leave-in Spray.
While I let my hair air dry, I washed my face with the Origins Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash. I followed up with my Proactiv+ Re-Texturizing Toner and my Keihl's Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution. To moisturize, I used my Origins GinZing Energizer Boosting Moisturizer (with a pump of my Nars All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation), and the Origins GinZing Refreshing Eye creme.
After finishing with washing my face, I moisturized my body with my Soap&Glory The Righteous Butter. I am almost out of this, so I will need a new body butter soon! Any suggestions? Leave it in the comments!
After moisturizing, I picked out and put on my outfit for the day. This involved my Faberge egg necklace, a daisy dress from Forever 21, and my Rieker shoes.
My hair still wasn't dry at this point, so I moved onto my makeup. I didn't really want a heavy amount of face makeup, so I didn't add any more coverage after mixing my foundation with my moisturizer. So I moved onto my brows, where I used an angled shadow brush with my Laura Mercier Cafe Au Lait eyeshadow, then finished up with Benefit's Gimme Brow in Light/Medium.
For my eyes, I simply used a small concealer brush to apply Too Faced's Shadow Insurance in the color Champagne. I then took a Mac 217 brush and brought Cafe Au Lait through my crease. I then tight-lined with Sephora's Waterproof Contour Eye Pencil 12HR in the color Black Lace.
Now this is where things started getting spring-y! I took my Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Pencil in Light Blue and lined my upper lash line, adding a small cat eye. I took my other Scandaleyes pencil in Nude and lined my water line to brighten everything up!
After this I moved onto the rest of my face! I used the Nars Dual Intensity Blush pallette in Craving to contour and highlight my face. Then for blush I used the lovely Mac Powder Blush in Well Dressed.
To finish everything up, I used Maybelline's Rocket Volume Mascara, and Tanya Burr's lip gloss in the shade Picnic in the Park.
When I was finally done with my makeup, I quickly and messily curled my hair with my Nume curling wand, then sprunched it with my Toni & Guy Sea Salt Texturizing Spray.

March Favorites
Hello all!
I hope everyone had a lovely month! Is it starting to feel like Spring where you are? New York is only just starting to warm up! It was snowing less than a week ago, but we finally got above 60 degrees! It's amazing what warm weather can do to lift your spirits!
I honestly don't have a lot of favorites from March. I was mostly using the same products as in February, so this post should be short and sweet!
First up are my new backpack and water bottle. The backpack is from a brand called Tumbuk2, which is located in San Francisco (yay for a piece of home!). The factory is actually right next to where my old chiropractor is located! I have been looking at getting a book bag slash dance bag from Tumbuk2 for ages, and I finally found the perfect one! Not only did it meet my needs perfectly, it was on sale for almost $100 off! Now, it was still a bit pricey, but there is a lifetime warranty on the bag, and it's incredibly well made; I can see myself having this bag literally for the rest of my life. If you follow me on Instagram (@kathleendahlhoff), you will have already seen a picture of it. The water bottle that I got at the same time is a super basic Nalgene, but it's 48oz! It has really helped me stay hydrated!
My next favorite is an accessory! Now, I don't usually have accessories as favorites because apart from my rings, I don't really wear much jewelry, but OH MY GOSH I am in LOVE with this watch from Ann Klein! The band is a gorgeous blush leather, and the hardware is rose gold. It's very hard to see in the picture, but the face of the watch is actually a pink-toned mother of pearl. It is so classy and delicate, and it goes with everything!
Moving on to makeup! As you may or may not know, Nars Cosmetics recently came out with a new foundation, called the All Day Luminous Foundation. It is their first ever full-coverage foundation, and it has a satin/matte finish. Let me just tell you, this foundation is a GAME CHANGER. I love the Nars Sheer-Glow, but with the humid summer months coming up, I wanted to find something that was less dewy. Boy did I find that with this foundation! Unlike the Nars Sheer-Matte foundation (which I believe has been discontinued), the Luminous is incredibly blendable and buildable, without being patchy! I personally have been loving just adding a pump to my moisturizer and making my own tinted moisturizer! I have also been mixing it with my Sheer-Glow, as it is still a bit dry in the city. Long story short, I highly recommend! I have been wearing the shade Mont Blanc.
My other makeup favorite has been a Burberry Soft Satin Lip Cover in the color No. 23 English Rose. Remember when I said that my YSL Rouge Volupté Shine lipstick in the color No. 9 Nude in Private was my perfect nude lipstick? I LIED. This is my perfect nude! Its more of a cool tone, and the finish is less glossy, which I love. I also love that regardless of whether my lips are in good shape or not, this lipstick looks flawless and has incredible staying power.
My final favorite (told you it would be short!) is a nail polish from Victoria's Secret in the color "Steal the Show." I don't often wear shimmer nail colors, but this one has been absolutely lovely, and had very good staying power!
